Overlooking passo Falsarego, was an area of intence fighting during the 1st world war(see history above).there are many ways to explore the area,we chose to go up through the tunnels and walk down the Austrian troop path. From the car park bear right and up for about 250m then you have a choice of going left to see the Martini Ledge or carry on into the tunnels. In the tunnels you need a helmet a torch and gloves for the wet cable. The tunnels rise for about 400m to the top with observation posts and defensive positions all the way.At the top there are more trenches and a path that takes you to the refugio Lagazuoi. The refugio has drinks and food and superb 360 views of the whole area especially the Tofane peak. The return route follows the other side of the mountain on a fairly good path and a lot of fortifications(austrian this time). There is a path further on to see the austian side of tunnels, then it follows next to the rubble cones and into the car park
