More of a trek than a via ferrata(is a traverse of the west side of Cristalo).We parked one car at the start and another at the finish,the whole trip including parking the cars and driving from Arabba takes 12hrs.Start from Rio Gere with a ski lift and then a cable car,that takes you to rifugio Lorenzi at 2900m,the cable starts on the left with an ascent,a tunnel and a spectacular bridge(the film cliffhanger was filmed here)it then follows a ridge up to the Cristallino peak.The wartime defencive lines start here and carry on continously on the left side of the ridge at high altitude.The path follows the defences allmost to the end.The route can be very hot even at this height because the sun hits it all day.The descent starts with a scree path it follows a couple of lower ridges and then in a very good path through forest.The trek finishes at Ospitale car park next to a chapple and a hotel,
