7 am start after a good breakfast. We descented in the valley below and followed a path to the nearest berber village .Mustapha (our guide ) led us to a berber house where we had tea and fresh bread with butter. The village was at the end of a gorge with a stream witch we followed for several kms until we met our mobile cooks. The gorge brunched off into small ravines where berber villagers were diverting water into their small vegetable gardens. After a very good lunch and a rest we took a small ravine and started a long ascent towards the pass that would take us to our next wild camp. The route of today seem to follow an empenetrable wall of cliffs up to 3500m high to a pass we could not see.The top of the pass was very windy and cold but at least we could see next days route and the pass to the Tarkedit plateu.Camp 2 was at 2600m in a level pleasant location.A very good evening meal again ,after the meal some of us went outside with Mustapha to do some stargazing ,the sky on the high Atlas is quite amazing with the Milky Way very much visible .The night finished with the gang of four (and Mustapha asleep next to us in the mess tent)boozing, smoking and gossiping.
