Arrival at Athens airport,drive from airport to Litohoro,visit Thermopylae memorial and battleground on the way,total time 6 hrs.Overnight hotel in Litihoro

Monday 1st Oct

Morning visit to the market for supplies,stop at Stavros Hut for coffe,ascent from Prionia to Hut A,total ascent 4 hrs,overnight at Hut A

Tuesday 2nd Oct

Ascent in fog to junction with Zonaria path,trek Zonaria path to Louki Gulley,scrumble up Louki to the saddle of Mytikas and Stefani,on to Hut B,afternoon trek to Prophitis Elias Peak,overnight at Hut B.

Wendsday 3rd Oct

Early wake up for sunrise,visit to Hut C,trek across the plateau of the Muses,Long trek down via Lemos and Petrostrounga to Gortsia,ovenight hotel in Litohoro.

Thursday 4rth oct-morning

Long drive towards Meteora via Tembi Gorge,across the cottonfields of Thessaly ,middafternoon arrival at the Meteora Monasteries

Thursday 4rth oct-afernoon

Drive on the mountain road over Meteora,walk to viewpoints,visit to St Stephens Monastery,watch the sunset from viewpoint,overnight hotel in Kastraki amongs the rocks.

Friday 5th Oct-morning

Morning tour of Meteora,visit to Roussanou and Varlaam monasteries,Midday departure for the Agrafa Mountains and Lake Plastira via Karditsa.

Friday 5th Oct-afernoon

Arrival at lake for lunch,drive through causeway to island in the lake,visit to dam,trek to viewpoint ,drive to higher viewpoint,visit to Elatakos hut to scout next days trek,overnight hotel at Kalivia Pezoulas by the Lake.

Saturday 6th Oct

Morning drive to Elatakos hut,start of daytrek to Borlero via Petalouda and the Agrafa Gates,Borlero peak,afternoon return to hut on the same route,overnight in same hotel by the lake.

Sunday 7th Oct

Long drive towards Delfi,drive up Mount Parnassos,walks to viewpoints and ski centre,afternoon visit to the Delfi Oracle and site,overnight hotel in Thiva.

Monday 8th Oct

Final day,arrival to Athens airport,bus to athens,visit syntagma square for the change of the guard,visit Acropolis hill,return to airport for afternoon departure to Luton.
