An unforgetable driving or riding experience. My tour starts from Arabba in a westward direction to the Pordoi pass. For the best views it should be driven in both directions as the views are so different. There is plenty of parking all the way in laybys, refugios on the top of every pass and always a restaurant. It is worth making the effort to walk up to a good viewpoint for a better look. The busiest months for motorbikes are may and september and for cars and bicycles is july and august. As the passes are at very high altidute (above 2000m) rain and snow can be found at any time of the year.It took me 6 hrs for the tour including all the stops for photographs and lunch.Every haipin bend has a number and altidute mark and every pass top has a large sign with the name of the pass and its altidute (good spot for a photo) .The four passes are by no means the only passes in the Dolomites.Out of every valley you have to pass over one but the four passes are the most famous. The Sella group of mountains (the centre of the four passes circuit) is 2.5 hrs north of Venice ,2 hrs from Bolzano and 2hrs from Insbruck in Austria.
