Another cold morning and an 8:30 start.we had to pack as our luggage was going to be transfered to the next camp by a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We headed deep into the Emli valley ,past the turning for previous days trek and into Siyirma valley.Well above the tree line we turned left and started climbing on a good gradually ascending path.In afew hrs we reached a more level area with good views and we stopped for lunch.the views were outstanding,we could see the Alaca area clearly and the Anatolian plateau below. The path carried on level for some time along Eznevit yayla and then started dropping towards Karayalak valley. There were some steep scree paths to negotiate but by now we could see the campsite and felt a lot better. The path changed further on to a dirt track that took us to the camp.the campsite was very similar to the previous one but the valley was more open with terrific views of the mountains. We started settling in while our cook Ahmed was baking tjiourek(a local pastry) on an open fire.Good news at last, the Canadians came back with the information that the toilet had a door.We spend the rest of the afternoon loitering round the camp, some even had a shower and came back alive.Again a good meal, bourgour (crashed wheat) that seems to produce enormous amounts of gas,the night was going to be noisy. The campfire was the focal point for the rest of the evening. Two of us decided to sleep outside under the stars.
