In the afternoon we arrived in Goreme and dropped off at a popular sunset spot on the hills to walk down the pink valley(it takes its name from the pink or rose colour sediment). The local trader at the top did a brisk business selling us nuts claiming to be as good as viagra. We descented into the valley and walked amongs the vineyards and fruit trees.Half way the rocks change from pink to white and the churches and rock cut housed increase. We visited the white church,it had no paintings left to see but the architecture was quite remarkable. We were picked up by the coach at the end of the valley and transfered to our hotel in Goreme.Hotel Dolunay was build as a traditional Turkish hotel, all the rooms in a row,it had good views over the valley and a swimming pool.We stayed there for two nights. In the evening we went to Goreme for a traditional Turkish meal, that means eating while sitting on cushions ,no table. We finished the meal with a good puff of nargileeAfter that we went to a bar where some made a spectacle of themselves trying to dance. We returned to the hotel at 1am.
